With the month of October, comes the start of spring, an absolute explosion of colour, that jumpstarts the senses, brushing away the lethargy of a cold cold winter.
Having recently purchased a little stone cottage up near the goldfields, totally off grid, and in need of a lot of TLC, it has been beautiful to visit and see this explosion of colour, as foot paths and paddocks have come to life with a vibrant carpet of wild flowers.
It reminded me of why we started Bamboo Monkey, and why it is so important to seek climate positive, eco friendly alternatives in our clothing, and everyday items. If we don’t, a lot of this natural beauty we take for granted, won’t exist in generations to come. And that will be our legacy.
As fate would have it, a chance conversation led to a really exciting collaboration with Mick Sowry.

Mick is a truly talented photographer, committed surfer and lover of the sea- check out his spectacular instagram https://www.instagram.com/micksowry/! But most importantly, as an award winning film-maker, Mick agreed to create a short video for Bamboo Monkey.
We wanted a way to explain simply, and clearly, what the bigger picture is all about for us. Bamboo Monkey, with our range of bamboo socks, and bamboo clothing, is about climate positive action, we aim to create a legacy we can be proud of.
Can’t wait to share it with you.
