My son Selby has an unusual system when it comes to doing his washing. While many like to seperate colours, or clothes from bedding, Selb gathers it all up walks down the hall to the washing machine, and pushes it all in tight. I am unsure wether there is actually any room left between the clothes for the water to do its duty, but he seems pleased with the outcome.
The only issue is, of all the hundreds of pairs of socks that go into the washing machine, only a few straggly rag tag of odds seem to survive. Which is fine if your Mum has a business which sells socks, but for others it can be seriously annoying.
This is why we sell our dirty wash bag! Some would say – ” But isn’t it made from Nylon?” Yes, yes it is.
It has to be – to survive multiple washes, and not pick up or transfer colours in the process.
There is one major area we at Bamboo Monkey try and keep our focus on. That is …..Climate Change – and the single major cause…. the excess production of CO2 in the earth’s atmosphere.
Not only does this come from accelerated population growth and urbanisation, with our use of fossil fuels filling the atmosphere with CO2, and deforestation reducing the absorption of these harmful greenhouse gases. But another active man made phenomenon – LAND FILL. The place we send the purchases we wish to forget.
The only issue is, this landfill is also excreting harmful greenhouse gases. According to Greenpeace, the average Australian produces aproximately 1.5 tonnes of waste a year – most of it avoidable!
That is why we sell a dirty sox laundry bag. Using it means, you both protect your socks, and maintain your pairs. Which means less waste to land fill, and less purchases required.
And while we were at it, we gave it a face lift xx
